Claude Code

I finally decided to try out Claude Code.

This is pretty next level from what I’ve seen so far. I decided to throw my VLife implementation to it and had it implement some of the fairly mechanical portions of the algorithm. It nailed it.

It wasn’t fast, but it was a lot faster than me doing it. By “not fast” I mean “took a few minutes.” So, still blazingly fast.

And I had it write some tests. No problem. Tests written and tested.

I’m honestly blown away.

Will this remove programmers from the equation? No. It doesn’t remove programmers much as though calculators didn’t replace mathematicians. I know it made the human calculators redundant, but the people doing the thinking remained.
